What is Slow Life Society?
Slow Life Society is a community for everyone who wants to live a more conscious and slow life on their own terms. Connected by the idea that a good life is not defined by a fast pace but by presence, we’re searching for this state of flow where body, mind and soul come together and welcoming it into everyday life.
In surf and skate culture the idea of a slower, more simple life has been around since the beginning. Being exposed to the elements, whether you’re surfing the cold waves of Scandinavia or skating through the city when you’re landlocked, has a way of reconnecting us with ourselves and our own flow. Therefore, we turn to activities like this that inspire us to bring that flow into other domains of our lives.
Our designs allow you to wear something that reminds you to slow down, enjoy the moment, and live for what brings you joy. They are built for those who move freely between city streets and rough landscapes, inspired by the harsh and ever changing nature of north-western europe.
The crew behind Slow Life Society
Hej, we’re Mandana and Sören and we’re stoked that you found our little nugget! Living in Hamburg, Germany, we painfully know what it feels like to be landlocked surfers and learned how to cope with harsh, inconsistent conditions. By being 100% (ok, let’s be real - 95%) committed to paddle out no matter the weather on the one side and exploring alternatives like surfskating, SUP, hiking, or yoga on the other, we like many others found a way to keep doing what brings us joy.
Inspired by the creativity of landlocked surf communities, the roughness and beauty of north-western europe, and the desire for a more slow-paced live, we founded Slow Life Society in 2025.
