Backward Sliding Dog rolls both into one, a reminder to shake it off, start fresh and take life a little less seriously.

The design keeps it exactly that light: a black and white poodle holding a flawless downward dog, sunglasses on, cruising a surfskate like it was born to. Dedicated to our own four-legged crew member, who lives this philosophy daily and better than any of us.

Backward Sliding Dog comes in one RELAXED, OVERSIZED FIT that works on everyone. Made from 100% heavyweight organic cotton, this piece pairs durability with a soft, easy comfort that only gets better with wear.

Note: Since our fits run oversized, we'd generally say size down.

Mandana (165cm) takes hoodies and crewnecks in XS and tees in XXS. (She usually wears M to L in mainstream sizing).

Sören (183cm) takes hoodies, crewnecks and tees in L. (He usually wears XL in mainstream sizing).

Style concept

Our styles are designed for those who move between the city and the outdoors. Each piece is cut for comfort, most of them in an oversized or relaxed fit, and crafted from thick premium materials like organic cotton, recycled cotton, recycled polyester or recycled nylon, giving you the perfect balance of comfort, durability, and relaxed street style. Our recycled cotton comes from pre-consumer fabric offcuts, our recycled polyester is made exclusively from post-consumer PET bottles, sourced mainly in Asia, and our recycled nylon comes from pre-consumer industrial nylon yarn waste. To conserve resources and avoid overproduction, we produce on demand, meaning only when an order is actually placed.

Inspired by surf and skate culture, outdoor living, and a slower way of moving through the day, our essentials are made to last — whether you’re heading out on a surf adventure, skating through the city, hiking in the mountains, or rolling out your yoga mat.

With versatile designs, quality garment construction and a clear urbanwear edge, these are everyday essentials made for movement and slow living.

Sustainability concept

We only use textiles that meet certified environmental and social standards across the entire supply chain, from processing to trade. All our garments are OEKOTEX100- and GOTS- or GRS-certified.  

We care about securing organic quality, choosing sustainable fabrics, and keeping our operations as responsible as possible, including shipping and packaging materials.

All our products are vegan and free from animal-derived components. They are also tested for harmful substances to ensure maximum safety, from yarn to finished product.

With every purchase, we donate 2% to a sustainable cause chosen by the customer. More about our donation initiative.
Quality standard

This product is made of 100% bio-cotton with a weight of 350 GSM.

At Slow Life Society, responsible materials are at the heart of what we do.

We use organic cotton, recycled cotton and recycled polyster because we believe they are the better choice — for the planet and the people who live on it. At the same time, we focus on high-quality, long-lasting materials and strict quality checks, so every piece feels just as good as it looks.
Care instructions
  • Machine wash at max. 30 °C and turn inside out before washing.
  • Wash with mild detergent and similar colors.
  • Do not bleach. Do not dry clean.
  • Iron inside out.
  • In case wrinkles appear on the print, iron carefully on the reverse side over the print to smooth out the creases.
  • Do not tumble dry. Air drying is recommended.
  • Reshape while damp and dry flat or on a hanger.
  • For stains, treat immediately with cold water. Do not use harsh chemicals.
Shipment information

Normally, we ship throughout all of Europe (incl. UK, Norway and Switzerland) and North America. Currently we only ship to Germany (learn why). 

We offer free shipping within Germany on all orders of €100 or more.. Shipping costs vary depending on the weight of your order, destination country, and postal code.
